Cardiac Cath Lab Specialist or RN

Location: Columbus, Ohio
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Specialist (CCS) or Cath Lab Clinician - RN is an integral member of the catheterization lab team and demonstrates clinical expertise and advanced decision making skills, serves as a resource for peers, co-workers, and patients/families and assumes leadership responsibilities as necessary. The CCS reports to the Manager/Director of Cardiac Catheterization and Intervention. The CCS is responsible for the operation, maintenance and application of cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures including but not limited to: Scrubbing diagnostic/interventional procedures; hemodynamic monitoring/analysis and documentation; physiologic monitoring, analysis, and documentation; circulating; imaging; anticoagulation and blood gas and chemistry monitoring/analysis; preparation and administration of medications, administration of blood components; inventory management and control; database entry; and any other duties as assigned.  Minimum requirements include:
1. RCIS; or Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology with ARRT registration or Graduate of an approved school of nursing, prefer BSN; with Ohio licensure or ability to obtain transfer
2. Must have electrophysiology experience
3. Minimum of two years of training as well as demonstrated expertise in cardiac catheterization procedures.
4. Thorough understanding of congenital heart disease
5. PALS certification within one year of employment.
6. Must maintain necessary licensure/certification
