The Cardiac Catheterization / Electrophysiology Lab Tech are responsible for the overall care and evaluation of patients having invasive procedures performed in the Electrophysiology Lab.  These duties include performing sterile scrub procedures and/or monitoring patients during procedures on the Maclab, Cardiolab and/or Workmate, for both diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology studies, device implants, ablations, tilt table procedures, vascular procedures, and any other cardiac procedures performed in the EP lab.  Job may involve being crossed trained to perform procedures and take call in the cardiac catheterization lab.  The job may include transportating patients, clerical work and any other duties the coordinator/ Manager deem necessary.  Job may include supervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor.
Job Requirements:
Physical Requirements: Requires corrected hearing and vision to enable employee to meet performance standards.  Requires frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment, and sufficient manual dexterity to operate therapeutic equipment. The CVT must be able to stand for long periods at a time. Good Mental and physical health to work for long periods of time in highly stressful atmosphere is required.
Credentials: RCIS/ RCES Required. ACLS & BLS certification required.
Education: High school graduate or GED.
Experienced: 2 years of hospital experience in clinical area; EP preferred.
