 The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist II assists Physicians during specials/catheterization lab procedures. The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist II also prepares rooms and equipment, instructs patients, monitors patient’s condition and provides routine and emergency patient care during procedures. Specific duties may include the following:

* Assist Physicians with arteriograms/catheterizations, permanent pacemaker implantations, and with diagnostic, interventional, parietal, coronary, and thrombolytic therapy.
* Perform and monitor pre and post-procedure care and orient patients for specials/catheterization procedures.
* Calculate catheterization data, gradients, LV grams, cardiac outputs, and peripheral stenosis and enters the data into the computer.
* Perform routine calibration and maintenance of complex equipment.
The ideal Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist II candidate is someone who maintains effective communication with patients, staff and physicians; and ensures appropriate protocols with procedures.
Schedule: Weekdays, 40 hours per week with call rotation


Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) required
* BLS and Advanced Cardiac Life Support, required (New hires must be certified prior to start date.)
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
