The Cardiovascular Tech assists in all procedures performed in the Cardiovascular Intervention Center and is a member of the Cath Lab and Electrophysiology suites. He/she provides a safe patient care environment for our populations which are neonates to geriatrics. CVT maintains and operates the physiological monitoring/recording system and other modalities for both interventional cardiac and electrophysiology procedures. The CVT will assist physicians by functioning as scrub tech, monitor/documentation role or assistant circulator while performing coronary, structural, peripheral and electrophysiologic diagnostic and interventional procedures. The Cardiovascular Tech is accountable to the CVIC SLM and leadership team.


This candidate must be have an Associate’s degree in Biology Sciences. Preferred certification RCIS/RCES. The candidate must have a BLS certification; ACLS/PALS is preferred. The candidate must have a minimum 2-3 years acute health care experience or equivalent. Special Procedures/Cardiac Cath Lab experience, or graduate of a Cardiovascular training program in which clinical rotations in Cardiac Catheterization were required. CCI credential is recommended.
