Director of Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Registered Nurse:
The Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab is a Registered Nurse who provides leadership and coordination of clinical and administrative functions for patients and associates in the Cath Lab on a 24-hour basis. The population includes newborns through young adults with congenital or acquired heart disease and arrhythmias.
This position requires:
Can be a Rad Tech (CRT ARRT) or an RN (CA RN). Can also be a Registered Cardiovascular Tech, but needs to have excellent leadership experience.
5 years of cath lab experience.
5 years of director or management level experience in a cath lab of an acute care facility
For RN’s - Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing or in related Field
ACLS; BLS; PALS or PEARS
California Registered Nurse
This position prefers:
2+ years of pediatric cardiac catheterization lab highly preferred, not required.
Master’s of Science in Nursing or in related field.
Additional Required Skill set:
The successful candidate for the pediatric cardiac cath lab will need to posses the following skill/knowledge set: • Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards • Develop a network with other pediatric cath lab managers • Advance patient care through evidence-based practice and the use of technology • Teambuilding with a very diverse group • Change agent • Ability to management multiple competing priorities concurrently • Familiarity with regulatory requirements • Experience with budget variance tracking and staffing productivity guidelines • Knowledge of Family-Centered Care Concepts and Quality Improvement methodologies. • Care with sensitivity and respect • Advance care through development of new ideas and technology; promote teamwork; understands and exceeds customer expectations. • Demonstrated skill in collaborating with medical staff, allied health professionals, peers and staff • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated ability to successfully provide/promote safe care within the parameters of licensure and regulatory requirements, practice requirements and hospital systems • Excellent conflict resolution skills and proven ability to effectively lead teams to consensus •
