Munroe Regional Medical Center has retained Tyler & Company to recruit a Director of Cardiovascular Service Line

The Organization: Munroe Regional Medical Center (MRMC) is a 421-bed, acute care complex with multiple outpatient services located throughout the county to serve the 332,000 residents of Marion County. The Medical Center provides a comprehensive range of clinical services including open-heart surgery, cardiology, stroke neurology and neurosurgery, bariatric surgery, orthopedics, pulmonary, obstetrics, midwifery, preventive care, emergency services and more. It houses the county’s only pediatric and obstetric services. MRMC was the first provider of comprehensive cardiovascular care in Marion County with the launch of its heart program in 1988. Over the past 25 years, MRMC has been recognized for excellence in cardiac diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation. Today, Munroe Heart puts the medical center in a position to offer superior heart care to residents in North Central Florida, as well as patients throughout the United States.

The Opportunity: The Director of Cardiovascular Service Line (DCSL) for MRMC is responsible for the operational leadership of the complete cardiovascular service line to meet the needs of patients, families, referring physicians, managed care organizations and other third party payers. This senior leader will be responsible for the service line’s strategic and financial planning, annual budgeting, staffing and recruiting, purchasing and marketing which encompasses many clinical areas. The DCSL will work collaboratively with the physicians and staff to ensure a seamless continuity of quality care.

The Candidate: The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of work related experience and a minimum of three years leading/managing a service line with specific experience working in a cardiovascular service line or with cardiology operations and an understanding of clinical protocols, quality, outcomes and service excellence. The ability to work collaboratively with other executives, physicians and staff will be critical for success in this position. A master’s degree, preferably in nursing, from an accredited institution is required. A current Florida RN license is preferred. For profit experience is a plus.
