 Inova Medical Group has an opening for a full-time Vascular Sonographer. This position will cover the Inova Medical Group Cardiology clinics in Manassas, Vienna, Warrenton and Gainesville.

Provides clinical services according to specialized ultrasound practice standards and acts as a resources to students, nurses, fellows and other technologists, to ensure optimal department functions.
Administers sound patient care practices according to hospital and department policies and procedures, to ensure the safety of the patients.
Demonstrates safety for patients, staff and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines, to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
Maintains equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition, to ensure the safety of the patients and employees.
Completes ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations.
·         One year of hospital or doctor's office based experience in the performance of specialty sonography. Five years of hospital or doctor's office based experience in the performance of specialty sonography preferred.
·         At least one year of experience performing Vascular sonography is strongly preferred.
·         Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound school with a specialty or five plus years on the job training in a hospital performing specialized sonograms.
·         ARDMS, CCI or ARRT registered. Must have RVT/RVS/VS with specialty in Vascular or Neurosonology; or RDCS/RCS with a specialty in Adult Echo, Fetal Echo or Pediatric Echo; or RDMS/ARRT with at least two sonographer specialties (ie: OB/GYN, Breast, AB). RVT/RVS/VS strongly preferred.
·         Effective verbal communication skills. Basic computer skills. Capability to perform on call, shifts, holiday and weekends when required.
·         BLS certification.
