Enhancing Your Experience Through Technology
This year brought significant changes as CCI transitioned to a new online portal system for candidates and credential holders. This system has automated numerous processes that were once completed manually, laying the groundwork for a more streamlined experience. We understand the frustrations many of you faced with longer application processing times, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and grace during this adjustment period. The new platform is designed to enhance your credential maintenance experience, and we are wholeheartedly committed to ensuring the application process becomes more efficient moving forward. Your feedback has, and continues to be, invaluable as we continue improving our systems and services.
Strengthening Professional Society Partnerships
CCI’s decades-long partnerships with professional societies across the cardiovascular community continued to deepen in 2025. Organizations such as the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS), the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), Heart Rhythm Society (HRS), Society of Vascular Ultrasound (SVU), the American College of Cardiology (ACC), and many others have been vital partners in our mission. Each year, we work to build stronger ties through our presence at in-person conferences and through our ongoing collaborative efforts throughout the year. We maintain liaison roles with these societies, attend their annual conferences, and proudly watch our credential holders serve as volunteer leaders and conference presenters, sharing their expertise with peers worldwide. If you are not already a member of a professional society, I encourage you to explore membership opportunities. These organizations provide invaluable networking, education, and advocacy that complement your CCI credentials and enhance your professional growth. Throughout the year, CCI’s presence extended across the cardiovascular community. We connected with cardiovascular professionals and stakeholders at international conferences where our credential holders represented the profession with distinction. These events allowed us to strengthen relationships, share insights, and advocate for the vital role allied health professionals play in cardiovascular care. Every conversation and connection reinforced the importance of our collective mission.
American College of Cardiology Partnership
A highlight of 2025 was the launch of our strategic partnership with the American College of Cardiology in September. This collaboration represents a significant milestone in advancing allied health professionals’ careers. Through this partnership, CCI credential holders who join ACC using the promo code “CCI” gain access to expanded educational resources that make meeting continuing education requirements easier than ever. ACC members receive automatic enrollment in the CV Team Section, deep discounts on ACC conferences and educational sessions, and opportunities to connect with a broader cardiovascular community. This partnership reflects our commitment to providing you with the tools and connections needed to excel in your career.
Global Reach
In an exciting expansion of our reach, CCI’s newly formed Global Task Force was activated this year to bolster our presence around the world. We currently have several initiatives in motion in India to better serve the cardiovascular community there, marking an important step in our commitment to advancing cardiovascular care on a global scale.
Empowering Cardiovascular Educators
Supporting the next generation of cardiovascular professionals remains central to our mission, and we recognize that accomplished educators are the foundation of our profession’s future. These innovative leaders shape how cardiovascular care is taught and practiced, and our goal is to empower, engage, and connect them. In 2025, we hosted our Cardiovascular Educators’ Forum, bringing together 42 of these dedicated professionals for innovative content on topics like artificial intelligence in cardiovascular care. We are thrilled that 97% of participants reported overall satisfaction with the event. This forum exemplifies our commitment to the professional triad: professional organizations, personnel credentialing, and educational programs. As we prepare for the 2026 forum, we remain dedicated to supporting program directors and educators as they guide students through their professional journey and credential applications.
