As a non-profit, we take our governance seriously. Our advisors, committees, and boards help to provide strategic advice, specific expertise, and industry insights to help maintain a relevant service offering to our credential holders and partners. 

Corporate Establishment

Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is a not-for-profit corporation that delivers vital support to a triad of professional societies, personal credentialing, and educational programs. For more than 50 years as the only credentialing body focused on the heart and circulatory systems, we continue to improve the quality of patient care through the wholehearted support of the education and career ambitions of more than 26,000 individuals credentialed across nine certification programs.

We are governed by a Board of Trustees composed of the chairperson for each of the current registry-level examination committees and one representative for the certificate-level exams.

Accreditation

CCI holds accreditation from the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) under the ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024 Personnel Certification Accreditation standard. By achieving this accreditation, CCI demonstrates the ability to carry out certification activities in accordance with a global benchmark that publicly identifies the credibility, impartiality, and technical competence of CCI’s credential programs.
